Some Words About Me

I was born in Trenton, New Jersey on April 10, 1985. I grew up in Hamilton Square, New Jersey with two very loving, supportive parents. My mother came to the U.S. from Italy when she was 17. She is by far the most amazing, selfless woman I have ever met. My father was born and raised in Mercer County. He worked for the state of NJ as a computer programmer. I recall him being a hard worker, never missing a day of work. As I think back to my childhood, I could not have imagined a better one. My parents always included my brother and I. They showed us how to appreciate and experience just about anything, anywhere. I think I have always secretly desired a life filled with just as much support and love for my own children.
After finishing high school, I was very unsure about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I decided to start taking classes at Mercer County Community college. It wasn't until almost two years later that I decided that nursing would be an option for me. I applied for the nursing program and graduated in 2009 with an associate's degree in Nursing. I started working as an RN almost immediately following graduation and licensing exam. I feel this is one of my biggest accomplishments to date. I plan on continuing my education in the future.
I always have the feeling I am consistently blessed on a daily basis. This was again confirmed when I met Mike. I finally was able to say, "I met my match" (no pun intended.) He had a very similar upbringing and it was refreshing to meet someone who also has a deep investment in family and the ability to appreciate loved ones for what they are. Mike is a very selfless, loving individual who treats others better than himself at times. This quality is not found in many people. I absolutely could not pass up the opportunity to get to know him, and I'm so glad I did!!
I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life with an amazing man who will get all the love, support, and understanding he deserves.
